Maori Heru (Comb)
Heru combs were traditionally worn by Maori to fasten their long hair into a top knot. Heru indicated the rank of the wearer and were often carved from a single piece of wood or bone.
This Heru measures approximately 175mm long by 40mm wide. Made from cattle bone.
