Maori Hei Huru Anahera Bone Necklace | 80mm White Feather

Regular price $40.00 USD

This 80mm x 30mm Maori Hei Huru Anahera (White Angel Feather) pendant is hand-carved from natural cattle bone, representing spiritual connection and high honor. A symbol of peace, wisdom, and the "Breath of Life," it serves as a sacred link between the wearer and the celestial realms (Te Rangi).

The Hei Huru (Feather) is a prestigious emblem in Māori culture, traditionally signifying Mana (prestige), strength, and spiritual authority. The white feather, in particular, holds a unique place in history as a symbol of Rongo (the deity of peace) and was famously worn by the followers of Parihaka to represent non-violent resistance and purity of heart.

Carved from high-density cattle bone, this Anahera (Angel) feather depicts the delicate barbs of a plume in mid-flight, symbolizing the freedom of the soul and the "Breath of Life" (Te Ha). In Maori mythology, feathers are seen as a connection to the birds—the messengers of the gods—providing the wearer with divine protection and guidance.
